Founded in 1957 by our visionary founder, Bill Tabbaa, North Star has evolved into one of the leading truck stop operators in Southern California.  What started as a small gas station in Los Angeles has today grown into a robust network of 10 truck stops and 5 Truck Wash locations, with annual sales exceeding 55 million gallons and a market capitalization of $200 million. Our success is rooted in a steadfast commitment to maximizing customer value, achieved through the delivery of top-tier quality fuel products and an unwavering dedication to providing an exceptional customer experience. At North Star, we recognize the responsibility we bear towards the environment, and as part of our green initiative, we have transitioned from selling petroleum-based fuels to renewable biodiesel fuels and compressed natural gas (CNG), underlining our commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly practices in the transportation industry.

North Star proudly announces its strategic partnership with Pilot Flying J, the world’s largest truck stop operator. This landmark collaboration extends across both the Pilot and One9 brands, marking a significant milestone in our strategy to expand our customer base.  Through this partnership, North Star gains entry into the large national fleets market by serving Pilot’s and One 9’s fleet accounts. This partnership not only strengthens our capacity to deliver unparalleled value and convenience but also amplifies North Star’s presence, extending our market share within the national fleets customer segment.

Our partnership with CFN (Commercial Fueling Network) offers our customers access to a secure fleet card platform and an extensive fueling network boasting more than 65,000 locations nationwide. Our customers have the flexibility to refuel beyond the North Star Network, while also extending the opportunity for out-of-state drivers to conveniently access our refueling facilities.
